I want a nice car that can be 100 miles per day and the occasional road trip to do.
Small, compact, not too computerized, what I've been ok, and it does not last forever () hybrids.
Good gas mileage.
Reliability.
Cute & fun.

I would not buy, Suzuki .. I will not go if someone gave it to me .. One of my friends has a '06 Suzuki Forenza .. he bought new, participated .. Mid-broken home! lol ..
